MAY 10, 1986

I went into this prayer period with a keen sense of my own sins, a great desire to be healed of them and to make full reparation for them. As I read Jeremiah 32, verse 17, “…nothing is impossible to you,” was very meaningful to me. I latched onto that with great hope and prayed for a long while for the graces of healing and a way to make amends.

There was a long interruption then. When I was able to settle down again, I felt led to go on with the rest of the chapter. As always, it spoke to me of hope—God’s anger isn’t forever.

I took Isaiah 54 next. It was so beautiful, I almost cried. Verse 4, “Fear not, you shall not be put to shame; you need not blush, for you shall not be disgraced. The shame of your youth you shall forget…” seemed written just for me! My Father seemed to say, “I heard your prayer and will answer it. Just follow where I lead you and all will be well.” I basked in that hope for the rest of the time and gave thanks for it.
