Through Revelations 3: 20, Matthew 11: 28, and Isaiah 55: 2, my Father showed me that because He is Love, He does not force Himself on anyone, but, rather, He invites all to a relationship with Him.

Through Psalm 81, He showed me that He doesn’t actually inflict punishment on the evil. When people reject His love, they reject His protection, too. Without that, they are naked against the other evils of the world. Evil carries its own inherent punishment with it. Psalm 23, and John 10 spoke to me of the shepherd’s protection of his sheep. This is the protection my Father offers His children - those who accept His invitation.

That I learned anything today attests to my Father’s wisdom! There were may, and often long, interruptions, and distractions. The time seemed to drag at times, and I was often frustrated. (1)

(1) Spiritual director: I’m sorry - this makes prayer difficult for many people. It is good that you keep going back to prayer instead of “forgetting it.”
