JOURNEY is the fruit of an experiment in spiritual direction by mail based loosely on The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. It chronicles the day-by-day growth of a soul reaching out to God.

This was a quiet, gentle prayer period. My Father led me gently through Genesis 2: 3; Luke 12: 37; Luke 22: 27; Genesis 18; and Hosea 11. Through these He spoke to me of His desire to associate with His creation. He made us for this association. The time went rather slowly, and I was frequently distracted.
